Board of Aldermen Meets Wednesday

The Wentzville Board of Aldermen is slated to meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at Pearce Hall, 317 W. Pearce Blvd.

The meeting has been moved out of to accommodate the expected large crowd. At the city's last meeting, the crowd filled the council chamber and spilled out into the lobby of city hall.

The crowd is expected for the several new zoning regulations up for third and final reading before the board. The regulations, which have been crafted over several months with input from citizens and the Home Builders Association (HBA), have drawn a strong reaction from builders, electricians and neighborhood residents.

Other items on the agenda include:

John Duke, the applicant on behalf of property owner Robert Meyer, is requesting approval of an Amended Final Development Plan for Liquor by the Drink, Indoor Gaming and Live Entertainment for Duke's.  

The site is located on the southwest corner of Veteran's Memorial Parkway and Corporate Parkway, with an Address of 1799 Mall Parkway.

The open forum offers residents an opportunity to address the board with their questions and concerns.

• Bill No. 3266 — An ordinance amending Title IV. Land Use, Article IV, Schedule of District Regulations, Section 405.085: "R-1A," "R-1B," "R-1C," "R-1D," and "R-1E" Single-Family Residential Districts, Paragraph A, Pertaining to Minimum Lot Size and Paragraph D.1.E Pertaining to Minimum Lot Area of the Zoning Code of the City of Wentzville. This bill is up for second reading and final passage.
• Bill No. 3270 — An ordinance amending Title IV. Land Use, Article IV, Schedule of District Regulations, Section 405.085: "R-1A," "R-1B," "R-1C," "R-1D," and "R-1E" Single-Family Residential Districts, Paragraph D.6 of the Zoning Code of the City of Wentzville Pertaining to Minimum Dwelling Size. This bill is up for second reading and final passage.
• Bill No. 3273 — An ordinance amending Title IV. Land Use, Article IV, Schedule of District Regulations, Section 405.155: "PD" Planned Development District, Paragraph F.1.a and 3.a of the Zoning Code of the City of Wentzville Pertaining to Procedures for Planned Development. This bill is up for second reading and final passage.
• Bill No. 3278 — An ordinance amending Title IV. Land Use, Chapter 410, Article IV, Submission and Review of Subdivision Plats, Section 410.090: General and Section 410.110: Pre-Application Meeting Procedure, Paragraph A “Purpose” and B.1 and B.2 of the Zoning Code of the City of Wentzville. This bill is up for second reading and final passage.
• Bill No. 3289 — An ordinance extending the Period of Validity of Certain Preliminary Development Plans, Final Development Plans and Preliminary Plats. This bill is up for second reading and final passage.
• Bill No. 3291 — An ordinance adopting the Revised Engineering Design Criteria Manual and Matters Relating Thereto. This bill is up for second reading and final passage.
