College Student from Wentzville Wins Best Actor Award

Calvin Hawkins, a William Woods University student from Wentzville, won best actor in a leading role during the university's annual Red Carpet Showcase this month.

According to a report, Hawkins won the award for his role in both "The Smithtown Shadow" and "The Telescope." 

The Red Carpet Showcase is a celebration of William Woods University student and alumni films produced by communication majors in the arts division during the 2011-2012 academic year, the story said.
