Massive Fire at Kwan Yin Destroys Wentzville Restaurant

The restaurant, located at 1603 W. Pearce Blvd., is clearly visible to motorists driving westbound on Interstate 70.

Wentzville firefighters responded to a fire Monday morning that destroyed the restaurant in Wentzville. 

The Wentzville Fire Department arrived on the scene at about 6:30 a.m., and have been fighting the fire since. Flames, at one point, had engulfed the building, and a smoke trail was visible throughout Monday morning. 

At this point, there's no indication as to what started the blaze.

The restaurant, located at 1603 W. Pearce Blvd., is clearly visible to motorists driving westbound on Interstate 70. 

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, restaurant owner Steve Lim told authorities that he was the last one at the restaurant and left at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Red Cross issued a release Monday morning saying they were on-scene supplying food and drinks to first responders.
