CANDIDATE QUESTIONS
1. What is the primary reason you are running for this office?
I am running because I believe I can make an impact in the youth of today to become the professionals of tomorrow. I am currently working closely to pass House Bill 471 sponsored by House Representative Bryan Spencer that will enable children across Missouri gain STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) experiences necessary to pursue the jobs of tomorrow.
2. What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?
I believe in fiscal responsibility and ensure current funding is available to support current program with a time horizon of more than 12 years. We should give enough warning to parents and students if we do not have budget to support a given program, if a program is not effective, we should have a plan to phase-out with minimum disruption to teachers, parents and students.
3. What's your favorite thing about the Wentzville School District?
My favorite thing on the Wentzville School District is the many friendships I have made with parents, students and teachers. As someone that have been involved in the district as a substitute teacher and now as a community partner to help the district pre-engineering program, it is very neat to see we have residents that care about the community.
4. What is the biggest problem you see in the district?
We need to work in providing more opportunities in the middle school and elementary level, such as foreign languages and pre-engineering programs for 6th and 7th graders.
5. What is your vision for the district and its students?
My vision is that ALL students of today will become professionals of tomorrow.
6. If an incumbent, why do you think you should retain your seat? If you are challenging an incumbent, what do you think qualifies you for the position more than the incumbent?
I do not have any children in the district or any type of business or employment relationship with the school district, but I have teaching and industry experience in which will allow me to make informed decisions without having to deal with possible conflict of interests.
