It was a event that brought out local businessmen, city officials and staff, policemen and firemen. It brought out interested citizens and curious passers-by. But it was for the veterans. Friday morning's ribbon-cutting ceremony was the culmination of years of work for Lake Saint Louis resident and World War II veteran Ralph Barrale. READ MORE: Lake Saint Louis' Champion for Veteran Recognition Looks to the Future Barrale began a quest 15 years ago to honor veterans by changing the name of St. Charles Counnty's I-70 South Service Road to Veterans Memorial Parkway.
