5 Things: Advanced Engineering Class Breaks Records!

1. Your Weather Report: Brrrr! Today will be partly cloudy and very cold with wind chills approaching -15 degrees along a high of 14 degrees. Tonight isn't much better with partly cloudy weather and a low of -1 degrees. It will be sunnier and slightly warmer tomorrow.
2. Shattering records. Souhegan High School's Advanced Engineering classes broke the All-Time school records in their Balsa Wood Bridge Competition, for both total weight held and for efficiency (weight held/weight of the bridge). James Ewing and Brendon Len's bridge broke the weight held record of 350 lbs, by holding 355 lbs! They had the third best efficiency all-time at 326! Jessica Roberge and Emy Ezequelle's bridge broke James' and Brendon's record, by holding an incredible 390 pounds! They also destroyed the previous efficiency record of 328, by achieving an efficiency of 385! Find out more at the high school's website.

4. Surprised? Boston ranks as the drunkest city in America. Bostonians have been found to drink more and binge drink more than any other city in the country. This is the second year in a row that Boston has received this "honor."

5. Congrats! Elyse B. Brown, a Theatre major from Amherst, has made the President's List at Coastal Carolina University for the Fall 2012 term. To qualify for the President's List, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average. All students must be enrolled full time.
