5 Things: Almost 2 Million Jobs Created Last Year

1. Weather Report: Today will be sunny with a high of 29 degrees. Tonight is looking clear with an overnight low of 15 degrees. Tomorrow should be warmer and mostly sunny.
2. Growin' jobs. Good, but not great, news on employment in the United States. The economy added an average of 153,000 per month for a total of 1.8 million jobs. This was very close to what we saw in 2011. Economists believe the rate will only increase slightly this year.

3. Patch Fact: Did you know: An oviparous animal is an animal that reproduces by means of fertilized eggs that develop outside of the mother's body. In viviparous animals, eggs are fertilized and develop inside the parent.
4. Don't tell the kids. The American Academy of Pediatrics reports that recess is as important as mathematics for young students. I propose we combine the two for maximum power.

5. Congrats! Michelle Weber of Amherst received a President's Recognition at Clearwater Christian College for scholastic achievement during the 2012 fall semester. In order to be recognized for this award, honorees must have been enrolled full-time and earn a minimum grade point average of 3.90 on a 4.00 scale. Michelle is a Junior Music major at CCC. She is a homeschool graduate and the daughter of James and Beth Weber of Amherst.
