2. We are the champions. Citizens Bank is now accepting applications for its Champions in Action program in the category of Arts and Culture. The Champions in Action program recognizes nonprofit organizations that are making significant contributions to New Hampshire communities. As part of the award, the recipient will receive a $35,000 unrestricted grant, public relations and volunteer support.

4. Congrats! The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that 4,199 undergraduates have qualified for the Fall 2012 Dean's List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, and many other states and nations. The following local students have been named to URI's Fall 2012 Dean's List: Alexis Laura Small of Amherst, David J Campbell of Amherst and Dylan Joseph Adams of Amherst.
