5 Things: Gas Prices Up In New Hampshire

1. Pumped up. Gas prices in New Hampshire have gone up almost a penny per gallon in the past week. The average retail price was $3.72 a gallon in the state, which matches the national average.

2. Horse-meatballs. Everybody's favorite cheap home furnishing store IKEA is the latest to fall into the horse meat controversy that is spreading across Europe. The stuff has been found in their meatballs, which have been pulled out of 14 stores.

3. Search "jealousy." Google employees are allowed to use up to 20 percent of their time working on special projects, many of which later end up as part of a Google product.

4. Congrats! Stonehill College recently named Amherst resident Alison F. Sumski, a member of the class of 2016, to its Dean's List for the Fall 2012 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List at Stonehill, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.
