1. Weather Report: Today is looking partly cloudy with a high of 35 degrees. Tonight should be clear with an overnight low of 23 degrees. This weekend should remain sunny with slightly cooler temperatures.

2. Hassan now leading NH. Democrat Maggie Hassan was inaugurated as New Hampshire's latest governor yesterday, replacing the popular John Lynch. Hassan is the state's first new governor in eight years.

3. Patch Fact: Did you know: Fire extinguishers use baking soda to kill flames. Baking soda starts to decompose at only 158 degrees Fahrenheit (70 degrees Celsius), and when it decomposes, it releases carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide, along with the insulation of the foam, works to smother the fire.

4. There is meat in my peanut butter...The makers of Spam lunch meat, Hormel Foods, is buying Skippy peanut butter from Unilever for $700 million. This means a DOMINANCE in the simple sandwich market, which is the most dangerous and cutthroat business of them all.
