5 Things to Do In NH This Weekend

We really don't want you to be bored.

1. Good for the soul! will be hosting a SoulCollage Workshop July 15th with Deborah Cort from 10 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 15. At this workshop participants will make 3 to 5 SoulCollage® cards and learn a practice for accessing inner wisdom that can be continued long after the workshop is over. Contact Deborah at 673-9043 or by email at deborahcort@gmail.com to sign up or to ask questions. Since the number of participants is limited, registration is required.

2. Beer! The Southern New Hampshire Brewers Festival hosted by White Birch Brewing in Hooksett will take place on Saturday, July 14. Ticket includes, beer poured by the breweries, tasting glass, program, food from three great restaurants, plenty of drinking water and free parking. 3. Classic cars! The 7th Annual Bedford Historical Society Classic Car and Truck Show will be held this year on Saturday, July 14th with a rain date of Sunday, July 15, at the Bedford High School from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. As always all Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, Tractors, Boats and any other vehicles are welcome. We are asking for a $10 donation for registration this year. Registration forms are available on their website, http://www.bedfordhistoricalnh.org. Please fill out, print and return with your check. General admission for the event is $5 per person (or bring a car full of people for $10).

4. Historic fun! "Shaping Our Heritage" at the NH State Library will feature more than 100 examples of crafts and more than 100 photographs highlighting art forms such as blacksmithing, boat building, braided and hooked rug making, cooperage, decoy carving, dog sled making, fly tying, Contra dance and French Canadian fiddling, furniture making, Native American ash basket making and beadwork, Shaker oval box making, tinsmithing, and Scottish accordion and bagpipe playing. The event takes place on Friday, July, 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

5. Family fun at the museum! Spend some quality family time at the Currier the second Saturday of every month. This week's Family Saturday event is Suncatcher Landscapes. Participate in hands-on art activities, go on a guided family gallery tour (11:30 am start), visit the Discovery Gallery or use a family gallery guide. Museum admission is free from 10 am to 12 pm. Children 17 and under always enjoy free admission.
