2. High tech pickup. Clark/Wilkins Elementary is now using student-designed software called Pickup Patrol to handle school dismissal. It was designed by   to eliminate the confusion and chaos that result from unexpected last-minute changes in students’ daily school dismissal times. Children should not be dropped off any earlier than 8:15 at either building, dismissal begins at 2:45 at Clark and 2:50 at Wilkins.

4. Good news for nerds. The Huffpost reports that ABC has ordered a pilot for "S.H.I.E.L.D.," a live-action series set in the same universe as Whedon's "Avengers" movie. If you are indeed a comic book nerd, you would know that S.H.I.E.L.D. stands for Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division.
