2. Rent is up. WMUR reports that a study from the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority found vacancy rates for apartments have dropped while rental prices have gone up.

3. Patch Fact: The first refrigerator built for the purpose of preserving food was made in 1911, and a practical, self-contained model was mass-produced by Frigidaire in 1923.

5. Congrats! Michelle Weber of Amherst, NH received a President's Recognition at Clearwater Christian College for scholastic achievement during the 2012 spring semester. In order to be recognized for this award, honorees must have been enrolled full-time and earn a minimum grade point average of 3.90 on a 4.00 scale. Weber is a Sophomore Music BS major at CCC. Weber is a homeschool graduate and daughter of James and Beth Weber of Amherst.
