3. Patch Fact: The longest modern era hockey game was in the 2000 playoffs, when the Philadelphia Flyers needed 92 minutes of overtime to beat the Pittsburgh Penguins. It was the third longest game of all time.

Consumer reports says that dirty air conditioner filters could be wasting you money. Dirty filters ruin the efficiency of your air conditioner, which costs you more for less of that sweet cool air. During cooling season, Energy Star recommends that the filters be inspected, cleaned or changed every month.

5. Congrats! Joel Gerson of Amherst has been named to the University of Delaware's Dean's List for Spring 2012. To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.
