2. New permit approved. The Board of Selectmen approved an that includes an application for future construction projects. This is in response to a gravel removal operation coming in August.

3. Patch Fact: Materialism is the name given to any philosophical view which asserts that everything that exists is material or physical in nature. Materialist views of the world deny that there are any beings or forces that are distinct from physical bodies or exist independently of such bodies.

4. July indictments released.  this month's indictments from Hillsborough County Superior Court South. A grand jury indictment means there is enough evidence to bring charges; it is not proof of guilt.

5. Congrats! Drew University student Christiana Carlini of Amherst has been named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester. In order to qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a grade point average of 3.4 or above, which is equivalent to a B+ or better.
