5 Things You Need to Know Today: June 25
I won't say anything at all. So why don't you Patch.

1. Your weather report: Today will have scattered thunderstorms throughout the area, with a high of 71 degrees. The storms should subside for a mostly clear night, with an overnight low of 58 degrees. Look out for showers tomorrow.
2. Town seeks to fill position...again. Amherst town hall is seeking another executive assistant after a recent hire left the position. This is a full-time, 40 hour-per-week position that assists in all functions of a busy office and preforms a varied range of advanced office duties. The position also serves as the Town’s primary welfare contact. More information can be found on the town's website.

3. Patch Fact: The halls of Congress are reputed to be haunted by a multitude of defunct politicians, among them John Quincy Adams and Daniel Webster. More surprising, perhaps, are the periodic sightings of a demonic cat.
4. Feeling corny? Caithatescake.com has the easiest way to cook corn on the cob. She reccomends throwing it in the oven at 350° for 25-30 minutes. Leave the husk on, it will trap in the moisture, leaving you with juicy, tender corn. The husk and silk will peel away easily once it’s cooked. Cut off the large end and it slides right out with no silk.
