A Come-From-Behind Win Against Hollis/Brookline

The Souhegan Sabers hosted the Hollis / Brookline Cavalier and came away with a come from behind 4 to 3 victory.
Sophomore, righty Seth Learned pitched a complete game, struck out four and walked one while scattering seven hits to pick up the victory.

Behind Seth Learned, the Sabers made a number of outstanding plays to help keep the Cavaliers off the scoreboard. Highlights for the Sabers' defense included the following plays ... in the fourth inning, Austin Cote dove for a ball hit up the middle, laid out stopped the ball and flipped to shortstop Tyler Ford for the final out of the inning ... in the sixth a pair of stellar plays kept Hollis / Brookline off the scoreboard ... Seth Learned field a sacrifice bunt attempt and fired to second for the first out of the inning and Tyler Ford speared a line drive to end the Cavalier rally ... in the seventh, after a triple put the tying run on third Tyrell Torres field a hard hit ball to his left and cut the runner out at the plate with a strike to catcher Cameron Crook to stop the attempted score.
In the bottom of the fourth Connor Cinque walked, Austin Cote singled with one out and Michel Ehrenstein rbi single cut the Cavalier lead to 3 to 1.

The Sabers cut the lead to 3 to 2 in the bottom of the fifth as Seth Learned doubled, stole third and scored on a throwing error.
Trailing 3 to 2 the Sabers completed the come back win ... Austin Cote singled. Tyler Ford put runners on second and third on a throwing error. Peter Bennett then singled up the middle, driving in two runs and the Sabers 4 to 3 lead.
A lead off triple placed the tying run on third with no outs. A ground ball to Tyrell Torres record the first out ... Tyrell Torres then field a hard grounder to his left and threw to Cameron Crook at the plate to nip the attempted score ... a hit batter put runner on first and second before Seth Learned struck out the final Hollis ? Brookline batter.
