Amherst Color Guard Honors WWII Veterans on Father's Day
Veterans were honored as they left Manchester-Boston Regional Airport on Sunday.
Amherst members of the Color Guard joined an effort to honor the brave veterans for their sacrifice on Sunday
Veterans flew out of Manchester-Boston Regional Airport on Father's Day and arrived in Washington, DC to be honored for their service through the Honor Flight New England program.
According to their website, it is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America's veterans for all their sacrifices. They transport the heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials.

Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.
