Get ready for a "Sizzling Fourth" in Amherst during the 2013 4th of July celebrations!
Patch Editor Robert Michaelson is sponsoring facepainting with Krickey the Clown again this year. Find them before the fireworks at Souhegan High School from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Other events will include fireworks sponsored by the Granite State Credit Union, music, hot air balloon rides, a magic show, the Roaming Railroad, and food at Souhegan High School on the 3rd, and a parade on Thursday morning in the village with bands, floats, antique cars, N.H. Regiments, marchers, clowns and more. The children’s bicycle parade will begin at Knight’s Field on Main Street and precede the town parade.
Anyone interested in being in the parade, having a spot on the village green (non-profit organizations), or helping with the activities should contact Nancy Head, 673-1389 or njhead@myfairpoint.net. Volunteers are always welcome!
