Amherst's Winter Carnival Sledding Into The Village
The Amherst Recreation Winter Carnival 2013 will take place on Sunday, Feb. 17 from 1-3 p.m.

The annual Amherst Recreation Winter Carnival will be held in the village this year!
Middle Street will be closed to traffic on Sunday, Feb. 17 from 1-3 p.m. so you and your family can enjoy winter activities such as ice skating, snowshoeing, snow sculpture/ snowman contest (Create your snow sculpture at the carnival or submit a photo in advance.)
Meet Gail Guertin and her Dog Sled team and go on free pony rides provided by Walnut Hollow Farm.

They will also have a curling demo with the Merrimack Valley Curling Club. Watch the demo and then try your hand at curling.
Plan to have lunch with Amherst Fire Department, who is running a concession stand. They plan to sell hamburgers, hot dogs, hot chocolate, and other goodies.

While this event is free to the public, donations for the SHARE pantry will be appreciated. The Food Pantry accepts nonperishables, paper goods, and personal hygiene items. The Pantry is always in need of toilet paper, large size diapers, and small size Depends. Other needed items include condiments, juices, cereals, pancake mix, and syrup.
