Amherst Town Administrator Back In Town Hall

Town Administrator James O'Mara resumed his duties Thursday morning.

The Amherst town administrator is back at Town Hall after being put on administrative leave for over a month.

Amherst Patch confirmed reports of his return with Chairman Bruce Bowler, who verified that Jim O’Mara has resumed his duties Thursday morning. He said that O’Mara was notified on Wednesday that he could return.

Bowler would not comment on questions regarding the details of his absence and return to Town Hall today, citing the subject as a personnel issue. Town officials have said that they have been following the advice from legal counsel on the situation.
