Angulas, Prescott Named Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to Souhegan High School's Athletes of the Week, named so for the week of Sept. 9-14.

Madison Angulas - Field Hockey
Madison Angulas, a junior midfielder, played outstanding field hockey this week. Madison played every minute of both games and was an outstanding contributor, especially in the team's win against St Thomas. When it became clear that St Thomas’ success relied heavily on one player, Madison stepped up and shut her down by marking her the full length of the field and using her incredible stick skills to get around her offensively. It was Madison’s willingness to do whatever was needed that enabled the rest of the team to focus offensively and come from behind for the win.

Drew Prescott - Football
Drew Prescott is a senior captain who leads both on the field and in the classroom with his high commitment to excellence and hard work. Drew is a quiet, humble, "lead-by-example" player who is a role model for everyone. This Friday night, Drew rushed for 180 yards on 21 attempts and scored two touchdowns. He had another 50-yard touchdown run called back. He played on defense where he recorded over 10 tackles and he played on every special teams unit as well.
