Bears Continue to Roam Amherst

It was a busy summer for the bears in Amherst early on. Despite a significant drop in reported sightings of them in August (not unusual as they are able to find a lot of their own food without having to wander into yards for bird feeders or garbage), as fall gears into motion, they may be visiting more.

In recent weeks, three Amherst residents have spotted the bears making their way around town again. Check out the latest sightings, marked with green pushpins above.
