Browse More Than 200 Businesses and Vendors at Expo

See what's on tap for the week of Oct. 13.

No Selectmen's meeting. The Amherst Selectmen were scheduled to meet Monday, Oct. 14 in the Information Center at Souhegan High School for a regular meeting and to continue hearing strategic planning proposals from department heads. However, due to the Columbus Day Holiday, the meeting has been postponed to Monday, Oct. 21. Please plan accordingly.

Go to the Expo. The Southern New Hampshire Expo at the Hampshire Dome is Thursday, Oct. 17, from 2-7:30 p.m. Come to the Expo for a chance to visit with more than 200 area businesses and vendors sampling food and learning more about what businesses in the area have to offer. There will be raffle prizes, live entertainment and more. The event closes out with Beatles tribute band. Don't miss the fun. Admission is $6, children younger than 12 are free. The Hampshire Dome is on Emerson Road at intersection of Routes 13 & 101 in Milford.

Celiac Disease/Gluten Intolerant Support group. This free meeting is open to the public, monthly at the Merrimack Public Library, this month on Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 7-8:30 p.m. Open to anyone wanting more knowledge and those with other food allergies. Group led by Oonagh Williams, a chef trained in London and Switzerland. School board to meet. The Amherst School Board will meet on Wednesday and Thursday this week. On Wednesday, the board will do a site walk at Bean Fields at 7:30 p.m. They will reconvene from 8-9 p.m. in room 126/127 for discussion. On Thursday, the board will meet for a regularly-scheduled meeting at 6 p.m. in the information center at Souhegan High School. Other meetings this week. The Zoning Board of Adjustment will meet in the information center at Souhegan High School at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, and the Planning Board will meet in the Souhegan Auditorium on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m. Get the ZBA agenda here.
