BU Fraternity Suspended After Amherst Student's Death

Police continue to investigate the death of Anthony Barksdale.

A Boston University fraternity has been suspended after the death of an Amherst freshman over the weekend, according to BU Today.

Souhegan alumni Anthony Barksdale II, 19, was taken to the hospital early Saturday after being found unconcious in an apartment outside of campus. He passed away in the hospital after a few hours.

Barksdale was a new member of the BU chapter of Sigma Alpha Mu, and his body was found at one of their functions. The university's Dean of Students said that there have been reports of underage drinking and sever intoxication at this unregistered event.
