Con-Val Cougars Defeat Souhegan

The Con-Val Cougars traveled to play at Souhegan and defeated the Sabers 6 to 4.

Bryce Knight was the starting pitcher. Bryce threw 4.2 innings, allowed five runs, 4 earned, struck out four, walked three and hit two batters.  Chandler MacKenzie threw 3.1 innings, allowed one run on no hits and walked two.

The Souhegan defense was led by the outstanding play of centerfielder Seth Learned.

Down 2 to 0, the Sabers rallied in the fourth. Connor Cinque, Cameron Crook and Michel Ehrenstein each singled, combined with two Con-Val errors tied the score at 2 to 2.  Andrew MacDonald's rbi gave the Sabers a 3 to 2 lead.

Trailing by three (6-3) entering the bottom of the seventh, Peter Bennett, Tyrell Torres and Tyler Ford (2 for 4) each singled.  Seth Learned sacrifice fly scored Peter Bennett before Con-Val defense stopped the rally.
