COP LOG: Police Investigate Hit and Run at Black Forest

The following information was provided by Amherst Police. An arrest does not indicated a conviction.

Monday, Sept. 16, 2013

  • 11:55 a.m.: Arrested Frederick Hovasapian, 52, of 497 Brown Ave. No. 2, Manchester, on a charge of driving after suspension. Hovasapian was released on $1,200 personal recognizance bail. He was scheduled for arraignment on Oct. 31 in Milford.
  • 3:49 p.m.: Arrested Jeffrey Schilling, 32, of 35 River Road, Hudson, NH on charges of fraudulent use of a credit card and receiving stolen property.  Schilling was released on $800 personal recognizance bail. He will be arraigned on Oct. 31 in Milford.

Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013

  • 6:15 a.m.: Arrested Ron William Barry, 45, of 7 Washington Drive, Amherst, on a charge of driving after suspension of registration of vehicle. Barry was released on $100 personal recognizance bail. He is scheduled for arraignment in Milford on Oct. 31
  • 8:04 a.m.: Responded to a two-car accident on Route 101A at Old Nashua Road. No injuries were reported. Drivers were Edward McGovern, 19, and James Rumson, 19, both of Milford.
  • 1:08 p.m.: Investigated a hit and run accident in the parking lot of the Black Forest Café. No injuries were reported. An unknown driver reportedly hit a parked vehicle.
