Cricket Corner Road Crash Sends Amherst Woman To Hospital

[Wednesday, Jan. 16]

At 2:46 p.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a two-car accident on Cricket Corner Road at Corduroy Road. No injuries were reported. The drivers were Joseph Burrows, 25, of Amherst and Marika Jewett, 17, of Amherst. Ms. Jewett was transported to a medical facility for treatment of injuries.

[Thursday, Jan. 17]

At 12:51 a.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested John Knapp, 39, of 9 Bear Brook Way, Mont Vernon on a charge of driving after suspension. Knapp was released on $500 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for January 24, 2013 at the Milford District Court.

At 5:46 p.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a two-car accident on Northern Blvd.  No injuries were reported. The drivers were Brent Godlewski, 57, of Mont Vernon and Heather Arel, 41, of Milford.

[Saturday, Jan. 19]

At 1:44 a.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Elena Ortega, 24, of 383 Manchester Street #1, Manchester on a charge of driving after suspension. Ortega was released on $500 personal recognizance  bail, with an arraignment date set for February 7, 2013 at the Milford District Court.

At 8:25 a.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a two-car accident on Boston Post Road at Courthouse Road. No injuries were reported. The drivers were Ryan Lynch, 22, of Amherst and Carol Winge, 49, of Westford, MA.

At 10:02 a.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a two-car accident on Route 101A at Airline Drive.  No injuries were reported. The drivers were Chelsey Lefebvre, 18, of Mont Vernon and David Chouinard, 50, of Amherst.

At 10:49 a.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Jeffrey Harnish, 40, of 84 North Street, Amherst on a charge of criminal threatening. Harnish was released on $500 personal recognizance  bail, with an arraignment date set for February 7, 2013 at the Milford District Court.
