Congratulations to Madeleine Hunt and Eli Moskowitz, Student-Athletes of the Week for Sept. 15 -21.
Madeleine Hunt - Cross Country
Madeleine has raced as our top finisher in every race this season, and this past week was no exception as she took 5th place overall at the Black Bear Invitational, competing against runners from more than 20 teams! Three days later, in a 5-team meet at Merrimack Valley, Madeleine was the individual winner as she led the Saber Girls team to victory! Madeleine is a quiet, hard worker, with excellent focus. She sets aggressive goals for herself and her team and races with tenacity to help realize those goals. She is a key reason to the success of this year's girls Cross Country Team.
Eli Moskowitz - Cross Country
Eli is a talented, hard working junior who has quietly emerged as one of New Hampshire’s elite high school distance runners. At the Black Bear Invitational, Eli was the 2nd finisher in a field of over 20 teams! He followed that up on Tuesday with a first place finish in a 5 team meet at Merrimack Valley! Eli’s value to his team, however, goes well beyond his racing success. He is a quiet, natural leader, whose focus on the success of the team over any individual accolades, sets a great tone for his team where everyone is working together to achieve common goals.
