Eight Amherst Students Graduate from UNH Manchester

The University of New Hampshire at Manchester will celebrate the achievements of 357 graduates at the college's 28th annual commencement proceedings on Thursday, May 16, 2013 beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the historic mill yard.

The ceremony recognizes 265 undergraduate and 92 graduate students who have earned their associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree, or an advanced graduate certificate at the University of New Hampshire’s campus in Manchester.

University of New Hampshire’s President Mark Huddleston will lead the proceedings. The program will include remarks from student speaker Ashley Potter, a 2013 graduate of the sign language interpretation program, and a keynote address from New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan.

The program also includes the presentation of the college’s teaching excellence award to Melinda Negron-Gonzales, assistant professor of politics, and the adjunct teaching award to Andrew Laurie Stangel, adjunct professor of art history. David Bellman will accept the 2013 Granite State Award on behalf of the Frederick Smyth Institute of Music.

The following Amherst UNH Manchester graduates have earned an associate’s, bachelors, or master’s degree, or certificate of advanced graduate studies between December 2012 and September 2013 and will be recognized at the May 16, 2013 commencement ceremony
