5 Things: Energy Drinks Sending People To ER

Rolling around at the speed of sound. Got places to Patch, gotta follow my rainbow.

1. Weather Report: The snow is gone! Today will be mostly sunny with a high of 35 degrees. Tonight is looking partly cloudy with a low of 8 degrees. Tomorrow will be sunnier and cooler.

2. But, it gives you wings...A government survey has shown that the number of people heading to the emergency room after drinking energy drinks has DOUBLED nationwide the past four years. Over 20,000 energy-seekers ended up in the ER in 2011, mostly teens and young adults.

3. Useful trivia. Did you know: The human head is a quarter of our total length at birth but only an eighth of our total length by the time we reach adulthood.

4. Bring in that art. The Friends of the Amherst Town Library is looking for tax-deductible donations of $100 to sponsor awards for exceptional pieces of art at the 20th annual Student Art Show held at the Amherst Town Library. Please contact Christine Farris if you are able to contribute: Christine.Farris@mac.com.
