Fourth of July Celebrations in Amherst

The Independence Day fun spans July 3 and July 4 in Amherst.

The annual Fourth of July celebration in Amherst is scheduled to begin Thursday, July 3, including music by the Dustin Newhouse Band and Amherst Town Band, and fireworks at Souhegan High School.

The annual parade is Friday morning, July 4. The children's bicycle parade begins at Knight's Field on Main St. (children must wear helmets) before the town parade, "From Sea to Shining Sea."

The Village Green will be home to numerous booths and vendors, including an art show and craft demonstrations, and even a dog show.
