2012 USA Track & Field - New England Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships
Presented by the Amherst Track and Field Club, Amherst Recreation Department, and Hosted by Freestyle Farm L.L.C. Visit www.amherstrrack.org for event details. USATF membership is required for entry to this event. Online entry only 10/1-11/7. On-Line Registration at www.coacho.com.
Facilities: Bathrooms, no changing facilities. Course tours Sat, 11/10 2:30-4:30pm.

Horseback Riding for Children and Adults
Horseback riding lessons are held on the grounds of Walnut Hollow Farm, a traditional New England horse farm. Students will learn the anatomy of a horse, barn management, tack, grooming and riding in their outdoor or indoor ring.
Who: Youth grades 2-12 and adults.
When: One hour lessons offered daily Mon-Thurs at 3:30, 4:30 or 5:30 and are purchased in a group of 4. Pick and choose according to your availability, and call the Rec Office at 673-6248 to register.

Fee: $120 Amherst Resident; $130 Nonresident
Hola to everyone who would like to explore the romance and adventure of learning Spanish. Join Senora Rowley for this fun and creative approach to learning or brushing up on one of the most spoken Romance languages. Senora Rowley will teach Spanish through conversation, vocabulary, and role playing. She has taught her native language to Amherst school children and will now bring her enjoyable and exciting teaching techniques to adults.
When: Wednesdays, 10/24-1/2

Creating Websites with WordPress: A Bootcamp for Non-Techies
Are you a "non-techie" looking to create a polished, professional-looking website or blog for your small business, your non-profit organization, or your personal use? This course will teach you how to do this, quickly and easily - without any programming required - using WordPress, the most popular, powerful and free Web development tool in use today.
Instructor: Jonathan May is a website designer and WordPress developer with extensive experience training others in using WordPress. He holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science from Syracuse University and the University of California, Berkeley.

Creating Online Stores with WordPress 1/2 Day Workshop
This hands-on workshop is designed for anyone who has a basic understanding of how to use WordPress and wishes to add an attractive, fully-functioning online store to their existing WordPress website.
