LETTER: Morgan, Chandler & Dokmo - Send Common Sense to Concord

A group of Amherst citizens explain why they will be voting for these candidates.

On November 6 we will be voting to send Steve Morgan, Shannon Chandley and Cynthia Dokmo to Concord as true moderate representatives from Amherst.

We all know and support Steve, Shannon and Cynthia and know that they will return civility to Concord.  Ideology has no place in New Hampshire government.

They will do well balancing what they determine through study, discussion, fact finding, listening to all viewpoints, and the effect on policy.  Their votes will benefit Amherst and New Hampshire.

Steve has been an active member of the Amherst community for 35 years.  We find that one of his strengths is that he seeks out all viewpoints and listens – he is not driven by ideology.  He will be the kind of moderate legislator we need.  He will be a voice of common sense in Concord.

Shannon spent two years in Concord before being swept out by the 2010 Republican tsunami.  She is intelligent, articulate, fair and reasonable, her record attests to her fiscal responsibility, and she is responsive to our residents.

Cynthia spent 16 years in Concord until that same tsunami hit.  She left as a Republican and is now running as an Independent.  Her record shows her as a moderate whose major goal is good policy before partisanship, and, one that shows fiscal responsibility.

You can vote on Tuesday, November 6 at Souhegan High School.  The polls are open from 6 am to 8 pm.
