A Milford woman looking to fly home for her brother's funeral is seeking help buying a plane ticket back home from Australia.
Kristen Chamberlain is asking for donations to help her friend Sierra Dalbec get home for her brother. Sierra Dalbec is in Australia for a year and can't afford the plane ticket, according to the GoFundMe.com page. Patch has partnered with GoFundMe and is helping to highlight worthy campaigns in local communities.
In one day, 77 people have already donated $4,525. The goal was $4,500, but the additional money will be donated to Sierra's brother Nick's funeral fund.
From the page:
In light of the recent news of Nick Dalbec's passing, PLEASE help my best friend Sierra get home for her brother. She is in Australia currently for a year and the expenses are too much for one to handle on their own. Especially since it is the holidays, I would love if everyone could contribute. Now is the time for family to be together. She is more than my best friend, she is my sister and my family considers her one of their own. Please help her get back to us, she needs us now more than ever.
If anymore money is raised than the price of her ticket, we will be donating it to Nick's Funeral Fund.
I LOVE YOU SIERRAAA <3333
