Milford District Court Move Not An Option This Year

No state money is available in the governor's proposed budget to move the Milford District Court to Merrimack, according to the Union Leader.

Legislatures have been working on closing the Elm Street location, and moving the court to the former State Police barracks in Merrimack. Gov. Maggie Hassan's proposed budget does not include any funding for the $4 million project.

The court is not in danger of closing, according to the governor's communications director. Lawmakers still plan to pursue the project in the coming years.
