New Store Opens For All You Pet Owners

A new pet food and supply store is ready to be your one-stop source for that special animal friend in your life.

Pet Life opened its doors within Meadow Brook Crossing in Amherst on Thursday. The retail store focuses on cats and dogs, but also provides food, supplies and accessories for a wide variety of creatures.

President Pete Risano said that this is the fourteenth store for his business, which lies in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine. He said that Pet Life focuses on the pets just as much as the products.

“What we want to offer is customer service,” said Risano. “ The big thing that differentiates us is the level of knowledge we have for customer service.”

Associates are trained in all aspects of pet needs, and the stores connect to local adoption agencies around each community. The Amherst store will soon become a hub for pet adoption and fundraising events.

Pet Life will be holding its grand opening ceremony on the weekend of April 7.
