Monday Essentials: Orange Leaf, Aspen Dental to Open

Aspen Dental opens. Today is the opening day for Aspen Dental in Amherst. The dental practice has moved its offices from Somerset Plaza in Nashua, to Amherst Plaza located in the building in front of Goodwill. Read more about the new full-service dental practice in town.
 
Selectmen's meeting. The Amherst Selectmen will meet tonight in the media center at Souhegan High School, 412 Boston Post Road. Among agenda items is the strategic planning presentation from the town's emergency medical services' department. Get the full agenda on the town website. 

Orange Leaf opens. Wednesday, Sept. 18 is the scheduled opening date of Orange Leaf, a self-serve frozen yogurt shop that is rapidly expanding in New Hampshire. Orange Leaf, which features 16 flavors of yogurt daily, is located in between Pets Life and GNC in the Meadowbrook Crossing plaza on Route 101A. Read more.

School board to meet. The Amherst School Board has its first meeting since school returned to session for 2013-14 on Sept. 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Souhegan High School Information Center.  Among agenda items, they will accept nearly $1,200 in donations to the schools. Zoning Board meeting. The Zoning Board will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17 in the Brick School, 1 School Street. Among agenda items is a discussion for a variance to build homes along Horace Greeley Highway (NH Rte 101) within the 100’ scenic setback. Get the full agenda on the town website.
