Plow Truck, Car Collide on Everett Turnpike
A hazardous materials situation was reported due to a fuel leak.
A plow truck was reportedly involved in an accident on the Everett Turnpike in Nashua on Wednesday morning.
Around 10:30 a.m., a hazardous materials situation was reported after a plow truck hired by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation was involved in an accident with another vehicle on the Everett Turnpike south near Exit 1, resulting in a fuel leak.
NHDOT spokesman William Boynton said the truck crossed over the median and was plowing on the shoulder when it was rear ended by another car. The collision punctured the plow truck's gas tank and diesel fuel began leaking. He said Nashua Fire was called in, but it was a "relatively small" leak. He said he does not believe anyone was injured in the crash.
The highway did not have to be shut down due to the crash, and the scene was clear around 11:30 a.m.
