POLICE LOG: Car Hits Bicyclist On Route 101

The following information was supplied by the Amherst Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

[Monday, Aug. 6]

At 2:23 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested David Vega, 27, of 7 Gillis Street, Nashua on a charge of shoplifting.  Vega was released on $750 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for August 23, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

The Amherst Police Department investigated a reported theft, which occurred on Ponemah Road something during the overnight hours. About $35 was taken from a coin-operated machine.

At 9:15 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Kory Ellen Groszyk, 49, of 30 Parker Street, Enfield, CT on charges of DWI and misuse of plates.  Groszyk was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for August 23, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

At 10:47 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Jesse Lee Sanders, 22, of 21 Cambridge Road, Nashua on a charge of disorderly conduct. Sanders was released on $500 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for August 23, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

At 11:10 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Andrew Dana Sanders, 27, of 21 Cambridge Road, Nashua on a charge of disorderly conduct. Sanders was released on $500 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for August 23, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

[Wednesday, Aug. 8]

At 6:56 a.m., the Amherst Police Department investigated an accident on Route 101, car v. bicyclist. No injuries were reported. The driver was Zachary Harris, 19, of Amherst, who hit bicyclist Garrick Johnson, 45, of Bedford.

At 9:05 a.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Elisha Adair, 35, of 16 Grove Street #2, Milford on a charge of criminal trespass. Adair was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for August 30, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

At 7 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Brenda J. Smith, 55, of 25A Greeley Street, Nashua on a charge of obtaining a controlled drug by forgery of prescription. Smith was released on $700 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for August 30, 2012.

[Friday, Aug. 10]

At 4:21 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Joseph Paul Haight, 51, of 4 Andrea Lane, Pelham on charges of DWI, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled drug, transportation of a controlled drug and open container law.  Haight was released on $800 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for August 30, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

[Sunday, Aug. 12]

At 1:42 p.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a two-car accident on Ponemah Road.  No injuries were reported. The drivers were Kellee P. Brown–Mazze, 54, of Amherst and Jordan Miller,  36, of Boynton Beach, FL.
