POLL: Should Souhegan Change Its Mascot, Seal?

The high school will make a decision later this summer.

Souhegan High School is looking to give itself a makeover in order to keep up with the times.

School officials are deciding whether to change the design of its Saber mascot and school seal later this summer, according to The Cabinet Press.

Principal Jon Ingram said the current designs are not working in their online presence, with the images being too intricate to fit into a Facebook profile or website logo.

The high school has brought the question to staff and students, and will soon address the community to get their input on the change. The current Saber mascot design was created by a 1995 graduate of the high school.

A decision should be reached towards the end of summer, according to Ingram. School officials will then work on calculating the cost of rebranding school products and communications.
