ROAD UPDATE: Base Asphalt For Courthouse Road Coming Next Week

Here are the updates on recent roadwork from DPW Director Bruce Berry:

Courthouse Road South, Catch basins have been raised and clean up along the shoulder continues, once it is loamed it will be hydro-seeded. A comment that often comes up this time of year is “the growing season is done and the grass will not grow”. Continental’s contract includes turf establishment and the town holds a percentage of the bill until a punch list review is completed. You will have grass, if not now, in the spring. Down in the valley by the big culvert, where it is steep on both sides of the road guard rail will be added. It has been ordered, but I do not have an install date yet. 

Courthouse Road North, I can pretty much say “see last weeks update” I am told, asphalt will come up one way or another next week (mill or excavator). The goal is to have this prepped for base asphalt as soon as possible.
