Road Update: Courthouse Road Work Continues
The latest information on roadwork happening in Amherst.

Here are the updates on recent roadwork from DPW Director Bruce Berry:
Courthouse Road north: Asphalt was removed today, hopefully the excavator will be delivered and boxing out (removing 12 inches + of base sand and replacing it with bankrun and stone base gravel) will start tomorrow. We have scheduled the vibration monitoring engineering firm to be on site tomorrow, Friday, next Monday, and Tuesday. I do not have a base asphalt date.
Courthouse Road south: Driveways and roadway connections have been trimmed in anticipation of a yet to be scheduled top coat (the small amount of curbing that needs to go in must happen first). Guardrail is scheduled for tomorrow starting at approximately 7:30 AM.

There is a leaching basin (that we await delivery on) going in on Middle Street almost at the Amherst Street intersection, most of you know the spot, it is where the big puddle was and where the asphalt continually broke up.
