The Souhegan High School boys basketball program under the direction of varsity head coach Mike Heaney played in the Team Camp Tournament hosted by Epping High School on Saturday June 29 and Sunday June 30.

Teams from all four NHIAA divisions competed in Epping and the Sabers came away from the weekend with a winning record and earned some valuable high level experience on the court.

The leading scorer for the tournament for Souhegan was Senior AJ Hayes who averaged over 14 points per game. Junior Isaac Nevrla was the top rebounder for SHS with nearly 10 rebounds per game.

Additional strong overall performances were turned in by Junior Brock Lefebrve, Senior Brian Dworkin, and Sophomore Zach Theriault.

On day two of the tournament significant contributions were made by newcomers to the program - freshman Alex Gaudette and sophomore Jerrell Webster.

The Sabers will continue their summer program with scrimmages against area opponents through July and August.
