On June 10, 2013, the Souhegan Boys Lacrosse team held its annual awards banquet.
They had reason to celebrate, having finished fourth overall in their first year returning to Division 1 lacrosse competition.
Awards were given to Joe Nutting, Rookie of the Year; Mike Hayden, Most Improved; Connor Holbrook, MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and the NH Sportsmanship Award; and Mack Walker, Offensive Player of the Year.
In addition, first-year Souhegan coach Brad Bishop was named Division 1 Coach of the Year by the NHIAA.
Four players were named to NH All-State teams: Connor Holbrook, First Team; Mack Walker, First Team; Blake Burnley, Second Team; and Mitch Hale, Honorable Mention. Connor Holbrook had the additional honor of being selected for the Twin State Hanover Lions "Byrne Cup" all-star lacrosse team, which played on June 22. New Hampshire beat Vermont in that game, with a score of 9-6.
