Souhegan Coach Suspended After Violating Policy

Football coach will miss the first two games at the start of the season.

The Souhegan football coach will have to sit out the first couple games when the season begins Aug. 31, according to The Nashua Telegraph.

Mike Beliveau reportedly violated a New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association rule that forbids any scouting or filming of an opponent before the team's final preseason scrimmage or jamboree.

Beliveau said he did not know about the rule and said it was an "honest mistake."

The newspaper reports that exchanging film is allowed by the NHIAA, and is a common practice among high school football coaches during the regular season.
