Souhegan Hosts Sophomore Career Day

The high school brought 43 business professionals to talk to students about their careers.

Souhegan sophomores had another chance this year to hear about their potential careers from the professionals themselves.

The high school hosted their Sophomore Career Day again on Friday, bringing in 43 business professionals from over 28 businesses and organizations.

These accomplished speakers addressed the entire tenth grade in separate panels, including Law/Government/Public Safety, Arts/AV/Communication, Education & Training and Business.

Panelists elaborated on their career paths and took a variety of questions from students on anything from workload to proper skills needed to succeed. Students also made connections for internships, job shadows and future visits.

Fourteen of these panelists were Souhegan alumni, and the group also included Amherst Patch Editor Robert Michaelson. (I had a great time!)
