Top 10 Weird Things I Love In Life

Valentine's Day has come and gone along with the usual lovey-dovey cliches and those angst-filled Facebook posts from singles.

We all have our somebodies and somethings we love in this world, but I wanted to get below the surface and think about the offbeat things I enjoy about life. Not everything loved in life can be considered "normal" by other humans.

I've thought about it pretty hard and concocted an accurate list of the tiny enjoyments that are probably not shared by others. If you DO enjoy any of these things, please let me know so we can be best friends.

Here are the top 10 weird things I love in life:

1. Drinking tomato juice on an airplane. It taste a lot better when it is drunk miles off the ground.

2. The fact that my cat always rushes over RIGHT when I get out of the shower every day. It is nice to know that somebody is happy for my dedication to hygiene.

3. Getting a new tech device and learning about all of the settings. There is something about customizing it to my exact specifications that is just heavenly.

4. Touching a steering wheel after the car has been left in the sun for a while. I just like the way it feels sometimes...

5. Eating baby carrots sideways until just the center is left. Then just eating the whole thing.

6. Listening to two songs at once and seeing if any of them sound good synced up. Try listening to Daft Punk’s "Around the World” and Flogging Molly’s "Drunken Lullabies” at the same time.

7. The water that comes from the bathroom sink of my old home in Brookline. It is just plain better than all of the other faucets.

8. Eating a big ol’ piece of steak or other similar meat without using a knife. It just feels good to tear off a big manly bite.

9. I like peeling oranges, mainly because I just like to have the smell of citrus on my hands.

10. Reading old instruction manuals for video games. They just don't make them like they used to...
