UNH Wants to Change Their Logo, Some Are NOT Pleased

A university wants to get modern, wildlife inventory and more things to know today.

5 Things You Need to Know Today:

1. Makeover. The University of New Hampshire is looking to update its logo, but its final drafts are not sitting well with some. Many students are not digging the modern designs, and budget hawks are questioning the money spent on the redesign process. The logo makeover costs about $100,000.

2. Lovin' Nature. An annual biothon will take place in The Clay Pond Conservation Area in Hooksett to inventory plant and animal species in the area on June 15 at 7 a.m. The event, organized and hosted by Bear-Paw Regional Greenways, is open to the public. It has so far tallied a total of 984 species under Bear-Paw's watch.

4. GIF? The creator of gifs (all of those animated pictures you see on the internet) has come out with the correct pronunciation of the word. Everybody usually says it with a "G" in the beginning, but he contends that it should sound more like "Jiff." Some disagree but, in the end, who really cares?
