Most Popular Children's Fiction: The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan. Demigod Percy Jackson, still with no memory, and his new friends from Camp Jupiter, Hazel and Frank, go on a quest to free Death, but their bigger task is to unite the Greek and Roman camps so that the Prophecy of Seven can be fulfilled.

Get in the games! The London Olympics are almost here! Take a look at our July display and catch up on some Olympic history, read a novel that takes place in London, or watch Chariots of Fire.  And don’t forget to participate in their graph of which Olympic sports you participate in.

The Friends of the Library Need Volunteers. The Friends of the Amherst Town Library is a non-profit all volunteer group that devotes time to support the library through fund raising efforts along with developing programs that enrich the library's cultural services to our community. They are seeking volunteers who would be interested in helping out with some of the many services they provide, including: membership drives, museum passes, fundraisers, newsletters, book sales, museum trips, library book bags and note cards, student art shows, professional art exhibits, display case collections, hospitality for events, book groups, and holiday decorations just to name a few. Click here for more information.
